Revelation of Grace

What grace reveals:

It's not the activity, it's the motivation behind the activity.
It's not forgiving, it's WHY are you forgiving?
It's not drinking, it's WHY are you drinking?
It's not fasting, it's WHY are you fasting?
It's not reading your Bible, it's WHY are you reading the Word?

When you are constantly doing, and doing, and doing...just to do it.
Or because you have to. Or need to. Or the Bible tells you to...
you start to rely on your commitment to God.
It should be that you do, because you love. because you Love Him so much.
It should be that you don't do...because you LOVE.

You see, when the covenant was made between God and Abraham...(Genesis 17)Abraham did not make the covenant. God did. Because man, can break the covenant...but God cannot. He is held to His own word.
When it came to the final sacrifice for your sins...you didn't make the covenant...because you could not.
So, God did. He made the sacrifice.

So-be confident in God's commitment to you and not necessarily your commitment to Him.
That was just the foundation in the revelation of grace.

Romans 8 [<3 it's a heart matter. David's heart was set on/captured by Yahweh.
Romans 8:1- REFUSE shame the devil throws up in your face. (resist him and he HAS to flee)
Hebrews 12:1-2- Jesus initiates every good thing in you. Every fire. Every seed. HE started it and HE completes it.

                       seed------------to--------->tree!

Psalm 116:13,17- This is faith in a practical way...take salvation and then thank Him.

Simple.
beautiful.
grace.
